Each year, we put on a variety of exciting special events. Some are fundraisers, while others raise our profile in our community and are intended to help us spread the word about a particular health or wellness issue.

Here is a look at some recent Esperanza events.

Esperanza Extravaganza | 08.07.11

On August 7, 2011, we held our second annual community fair. During the event we provided a variety of health exams and had information from many of our community partners. In addition, we had many family activities, like an open-air petting zoo, Jumping Jack and balloon sculptures.

Girls on the Run | 06.04.11

Girls on the Run is an internationally known program that teaches girls ages 8-13 about self-esteem while training them to run a 5K race. Our health center was recently selected to host the Girls on the Run program, which culminated on race day, June 4, 2011.

Hope Soiree | 09.01.10

In September 2010, more than 200 guests joined members of our board of directors for our second annual fundraising event. The evening included food provided by 5411 Empanadas and tequila tastings courtesy of boutique distillers Los Tres Garcias. The event provided an opportunity for supporters of Esperanza to mingle, bid on silent auction items and learn a little more about Esperanza’s programs and services.
