As Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Van Wieren leads Esperanza’s team of over 30 providers. He is a National Health Service Corps Scholar who is dedicated to expanding access to high quality medical care to the underserved. His efforts have helped Esperanza receive the National Quality Leader Award in 2016 and 2017 for being among the top 3% of health centers nationwide based on clinical quality measures.
