Thank Your Healthcare Heroes: Card Making with Blue Door Neighborhood Center
Show your healthcare providers your appreciation with a hand-made card! Try your hand at some arts & crafts at 2551 W Cermak Rd. from 11:30am - 1:00pm.
Tuesday, August 10:
Chalk Art Contest: In-Person & Virtual options
What does health mean to you? Show us on Tuesday, 8/10, from 3pm-6pm at our Brighton Park clinic as we fill the sidewalk with beautiful community art. Can’t make it Tuesday? You can still enter our contest by sending a photo of your chalk art by 9am Friday 8/13 to Esperanza via Facebook or Instagram or emailing it to development@esperanzachicago.org. Please include the artist’s first name and age for a chance to win one of these fun art prizes! Open to all ages.
One winner from each of the following age groups will be selected. The drawing with the most likes on our Facebook page will be our winner.

- 5-7 years old
- 8-11 years old
- 12-15 years old
- 16 years and older
Wednesday, August 11:
Little Village Cleanup
A cleaner community is a healthier community! Join us as we clean up our Little Village neighborhood along Western starting at the Western Pink Line stop from 10am- 1pm. Meet us at 1940 S. Western Ave. We will have water and all the necessary tools as we pick up trash, pull weeds, and beautify our neighborhoods! Let us know you are coming by completing our signup HERE.
Thursday, August 12:
Back of the Yards Cleanup
A cleaner community is a healthier community! Join us as we clean up our Back of the Yards neighborhood along Damen between 46th street and 47th street. Meet us at the NW corner of 46th St. and Damen Ave. We will have water and all the necessary tools as we pick up trash, pull weeds, and beautify our neighborhoods!
