Heidi Ortolaza-Alvear is Esperanza Health Center’s Vice President of Strategy and Business Development, where she leads key strategic growth initiatives, help build and maintain our community relationships, and advance our principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Prior to Esperanza, she was the deputy director of strategy and impact at EverThrive Illinois, where she led the organization’s initiative in addressing the root causes of health disparities among women, children, and families in Illinois. Our mission-focused approach and commitment to equity and quality drew her to Esperanza. She received her Master of Arts and Master of Public Policy from University of Chicago, and her bachelor’s degree from Carleton College. In her spare time, Heidi enjoys spending time with her children, listening to podcasts, and cooking.
