Dr. Estella Martinez is a family medicine provider at our Esperanza California health center. She was on our team ten years ago and left to open a nutrition and wellness office. She then was at Advocate Aurora Health prior to joining Esperanza again. Our people and culture have always drawn Dr. Martinez to Esperanza. She completed her undergraduate degree at U of I Urbana Champaign before finishing her medical degree at UIC College of Medicine. She is passionate about preventive and lifestyle medicine. Dr. Martinez believes in health care instead of “sick care”, using food and lifestyle recommendations first to treat conditions, and using medications only when needed. In her spare time, she enjoys practicing yoga, traveling, crafting, and spending time with her husband, 6-year-old daughter, and mom.
