Evelyn is a behavioral health and substance use counselor providing care via telemedicine and in person. She completed her undergraduate degree in Criminology and Sociology at Dominican University. Prior to working at Esperanza, Evelyn worked in social services providing crisis intervention to at risk youth and families. She was drawn to Esperanza by the opportunity to provide bilingual and bicultural services to the communities Esperanza serves. This passion nudged her to complete her Masters in Social Work and Masters in Mediation and Conflict Resolution at her alma mater, Dominican University. Evelyn is passionate about providing trauma-informed services and specializes in working with folks who use substances. In her spare time, Evelyn enjoys reading, gardening, and playing with her three dogs.
