Behavioral Health Consultant
Maria joins Esperanza as a Behavioral Health Counselor. In her previous role as Court Counselor for the Office of the Chief Judge of Cook County Domestic Violence, her primary focus was crisis intervention with safety being the primary concern. Maria simultaneously facilitated DUI classes and substance abuse counseling for a privately owned company. A product of Little Village, her passion is to help and empower people from underserved communities. Maria completed both her B.S. in Healthcare Leadership and M.S. in Counseling from National Louis University. During her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family.
