Nic, born and raised in Chicago, brings a deep-rooted passion for community care to his role at Esperanza. Before joining the team, he completed a fellowship with the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC) and previously worked as a family practice care coordinator, where he provided health education to patients. His professional journey began in retail, but it was the opportunity to serve the very neighborhoods that shaped him that drew him to Esperanza. A proud graduate of Governors State University, Nic is currently pursuing his Master’s in Addiction Counseling. He is especially passionate about reducing the stigma around mental health and increasing substance use education and awareness across all communities. Outside of work, Nic enjoys listening to music, traveling the world, binging TV shows, and playing guitar.
