Daniel Diaz serves as the Site Director for the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) at Esperanza, bringing a diverse background in healthcare, education, and military service. Raised in the south suburbs of Chicago as the youngest of four and the son of Mexican immigrants, he brings a strong, community-centered perspective to his work. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, his path into healthcare was shaped by a pivotal experience witnessing a friend’s recovery from a severe injury, which sparked his passion for occupational therapy. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and later completed his Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Management. His career spans acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, home health, outpatient therapy, and multi-site clinical operations. He has held leadership roles across senior living, skilled nursing, hospital, and pediatric settings, including overseeing operations across multiple clinics and supporting the development and scaling of clinical programs.
